Navgps Pro's user interface is designed for real-world cockpit use. This specially applies to input. There's a large soft-keyboard display that makes input easier compared to the built-in soft-keyboard.
Starting with 3.14, data input can be done with just the hardware buttons. Now when a dialog with the large soft-keyboard is displayed, letters can be selected by using the arrow keys and pressing the Action-button. The definition for the four buttons are:
- B1 - previous field
- B2 - next field
- B3 - clear current field
- B4 - close dialog
This feature required some interface changes to keep overall interface consistent. You no longer use the Action-button to rotate thru the display pages. This can done by either pressing the Record-button or selecting menu Options->Next Page.
If your pda does not have the Record-button, you can also redefine one of B1-B4 buttons as "Rotate Pages".
Also, when either of Nearest or Flightplan display page is displayed, you can use the arrow keys to select tab and row. Use Action-button to go direct to the current identifier. Use the Direct-to button (default B1) if you want to go direct to the current identifier but also want to specify altitude and/or radial. Press the same button you used to invoke the display page to close it - it's a toggle.
