Navgps can save logs of your flights. The information recorded can be used later to export into a third-party software (e.g. Excel spreadsheet) or to fill out your paper log-book.
In menu Options>>Prefs and Prefs2 tab, there's an option to enable this feature. Next to it is the activation speed. This is the ground-speed at which the start-flight and end-flight events are recorded to the file.
The default value is -1 - which means start recording on gps connection and stop when exiting Navgps. The flight duration recorded will be close to engine-on or hobbs time. Remember, if you shut the engine off, then you also need to exit Navgps for the end-time to be recorded.
If you'd like to record true flight-time, then it should be about half of your normal rotate speed. The speed-unit is the same as the one chosen on Prefs1 tab.
The logs are recorded to a text file named navgps-log.txt and is saved in the "My Documents" folder.
Here's a typical entry for a flight:

- Starting Airport - if not near an airport, the nearest fix will be used.
- End Time
- Ending Airport
- Elapsed time in minutes
- Elapsed time in hrs and tenths of an hour.
