text Navgps 3.8 features two major features - a complete re-vamp of the moving-map display and north-up display.

The software now updates the display in layers - giving highest precedence to the flight-plan and av-data, then airspace boundaries and then topography. The software presumes that most flights are straight and pre-loads data in front of the current track. As long as one flies straight, preloads should be transparent. If you turn and bank sharply, you might see the screen being drawn - but again precedence is given to flight-data.

The other feature is North-Up page. This is another page and can be selected by pressing the Action/Enter key. Related to this the the new preference option of selecting your preferred page and range. Whenever you change either, the software will revert the display to your preferred page/range after 45 seconds.

Also, the track-history feature is fully operational now. You should see the track as you fly. Don't enable it for too long...because it does take up memory.

Happy flying...
