(Pro and Pro/PCFS version 3.7+) PocketPC users can now save any Navgps data-file in the "\My Documents" folder. What this means is that now you can drag & drop any Navgps data-file into your desktop's PocketPC folder and let Microsoft Activesync copy the files down automatically.
Navgps will now search the "\My Documents" folder first and then the install-folder (i.e. the folder where navgps.exe is installed). If the same file exists in both, only the one in "\My Documents" folder will be used.
What this features means is that some PocketPC users can store all their files in non-volatile memory (also known as NAND or flash-rom memory) and keep the current files in the "\My Documents" folder. Now even if you let your battery run down to zero - you'll still have access to Navgps and your back-up data files.
Also, note that this version will also automatically create a PocketPC Start Menu shortcut whenever you run Navgps. So copy navgps.exe anywhere and using FileExplorer run it once - after that you'll have a shortcut to that file.
We hope that this will make the process of updating files much easier.
