We'll be releasing a version of Navgps Pro and Pro/PCFS soon that'll depict obstructions. The example
to the left is showing two obstructions to the right of the flight-path - three and seven hundred feet respectively
below the current altitude. If the differential is below a certain threshold, the figure will be depicted in different
colors.
Unfortunately, we've received databases for the USA and adjacent regions only. To provide support for other
areas, we've also come up with a simple text file format that users can create relatively easily.
The files have an extension of .obs and have to be in the same folder as your main navgps executable. Click
here to download a sample obstruction file. You'll be able
to view it in any text editor and also contains the file-format.
We're releasing the format at this stage to give users a head-start. And as always if you'd like to share the
data with others, please send it to us.
